As a fast-growing fintech company, MPOWER leverages a cross-border digital lending platform, big data, and global infrastructure to finance the millions of high-promise international and DACA students in North America. MPOWER team sought support from Searce to automate the environment and validate the setup along with completing exploratory testing to ensure highest quality of standards and customer satisfaction.
Challenges
MPOWER is looking for intelligent insights from transformed data and build dashboards which will provide features for exploring and visualizing data to allow business users to consume data on their own terms. MPOWER wants to modernize the data analytics platform for the company’s growth and reduce operational overhead with easy to scale cluster configuration. The migration brings in a strategic view to the way reporting and analytics will be leveraged in future.
Searce Solution
MPOWER data was residing on various Data Sources like Salesforce, Servicing Vendors, Zendesk etc. Searce’s solution enabled data pipelines to bring in the Salesforce data using Amazon Appflow, Servicing vendor data through file transfer service and Zendesk data using Aws Glue connector into DataLake. Also created Glue ETL jobs to transform the data and loaded into Redshift which can be leveraged to create meaningful insights and dashboards using Quicksight. Our new architecture included logging, monitoring, security assessments, authenticating users and analyzing potential threats using AWS native tools, for management and high security.

With the new Architecture design and AWS’ services MPOWER was able to:
- Centralized and single source of trusted data repository for the data analysts, data scientists and ML engineers
- Redshift clusters offered Mpower the flexibility and scalability as it required which depended on the peak and slack in business periods
- Highly secured data as per financial data compliance requirements
- Enabled end-users to access data insights
